Scholarships
The Association of Diploma Schools of Professional Nursing is committed to:
- Supporting all levels of nursing education and practice in the State of New Jersey.
- Providing access to a cost-effective, high-standard nursing education that accommodates employment and family demands.
- Accessing a culturally diverse population to promote employment and leadership in inner city and urban communities.
- Producing graduates who are decision-makers and consumer advocates in the midst of the managed care environment.
- Providing scholarships to students and faculty.
ADSPN has established a scholarship program to assist students pursuing a career in nursing and a grant program for faculty serving the needs of New Jersey nursing students. $1000 is awarded to two students and one faculty member annually.
Eligibility requirements
Student Scholarship: All applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing in a nursing course at a member school. Application procedures are included within the application form along with the deadline for submission. A student is eligible to receive this scholarship once, prior recipients are not eligible to re-apply.
Deadline for Student Application is November 22, 2024
Faculty Grant:
Applicant must be an individual member of ADSPN, as well as a faculty member at one of the member schools. The applicant must be either enrolled in a graduate program related to nursing, taking a course(s) related to nursing education, conducting a research study related to nursing education or attending a professional meeting related to nursing education. Faculty are not eligible to receive this grant within 2 consecutive years.
The faculty grant application deadline is February 14, 2025
